Soup Freezing Tips - Soups do freeze well. Freeze in freezer bags or other containers. It's best to freeze in containers the size you would want to use at one time. Thaw and heat in a pan on the stove, stirring often if it is a creamed based soup. Some people prefer to leave out any potatoes or pasta when they freeze soup and then add them to the pan when heating. This is a personal preference. You can also thaw in the refrigerator overnight and then simmer in a crock pot.
