We stayed during the month of December when the small town was especially charming, all decked out for the holidays. Each of the bed and breakfast inn’s 7 rooms was elegantly decorated.
Our room was the Fox Den. It was accented with a fox theme. Amenities included TV, VCR, CD player, bath robes,a fireplace, and a private entry.
During a California Wine Tour in Amador County, we enjoyed listening to music and watching the roaring fire from the bed. The room even had a library full of interesting books, including travel, fiction, biographies, and even some about foxes.
Breakfast was brought to our room in the morning on silver service. As we checked in, we were given choices for breakfast. We were quite delighted with our selections. Everything was fresh and delicious.
The owners were great hosts. They were friendly and eager to ensure that we were having a fabulous time.
Foxes Inn is located so that you can wine taste in Amador County, but can also venture into the nearby counties of El Dorado or Calaveras as well.
We eagerly recommend The Foxes Inn of Sutter Creek as superb lodging in Amador County. This bed and breakfast inn is a delightful travel accommodation in the Amador County Wine Country.
