The Girl and the Fig - Sonoma

The Girl and the Fig - Sonoma is a popular restaurant located in downtown Sonoma. Serving French and California cuisine in a casual and cozy atmosphere, the food is outstanding.

Whenever we are in the area, we are sure to head to this Sonoma restaurant. We've eaten here many times and have always been impressed.

The menu varies by the season. Fresh local ingredients are delightfully prepared to both look and taste great. On our first visit I ordered the top sirloin burger served with matchstick frites for lunch. The juicy burger covered with carmelized onions was full of amazing flavors. It's by far the best hamburger I've ever had.

Since then we have returned many times. Everything we have eaten at The Girl and the Fig has been delicious. (Don't miss the duck confit, mussels with pomme frites, or the ever popular lavendar creme brulee. The cheese platter is also an excellent choice as well. The food is reasonably priced and the service has always been friendly.

You can dine indoors or outside on their patio. On a nice day it's hard to beat the ambiance of the patio. Walk-ins our welcomed, but it wouldn't hurt to make reservations.

There's an excellent variety of wines available by the glass or the bottle. We always enjoy ordering a flight of wines to go with our meal. The Girl & the Fig features an amazing antique bar serving French aperitifs, cocktails, an award winning Rhone-Alone wine list.
