California Delta Golf

Discover California Delta golf courses and take time to explore the unique environment. The California Delta is the largest estuary on the Pacific coast. It is formed by the San Joaquin and Sacramento Rivers.

This region is important to California. Hundreds of miles of levees protect farmland from the water. The soil is very fertile for farming. Two-thirds of Californians received their water from this area.

More than 750 different species of animals make the Delta their home. Most of the animals are birds and fish. Other animals include otters, fox, beavers, rabbits, snakes, and lizards. Many of these animals are endangered.

The Delta is a major recreational destination for water sports, fishing, and bird-watching. The small towns located throughout the Delta are fun to explore. You'll find unique places to stay and eat. Marinas, boat rentals, and bait shops are found throughout the area.
