Jane - A Santa Barbara Restaurant

Find your way to Jane, a Santa Barbara Restaurant located in the popular State Street area. You will not be disappointed. Great food, excellent service, and reasonably priced, too.

Steve and I walked to this restaurant from a nearby bed and breakfast. We were pleased with the casual and charming atmosphere. The candlelit tables are covered with cloth linens.

This is a popular restaurant. Make reservations and ask for a table near the fireplace or an upstairs table looking down over state street or in the interior of the restaurant.

We decided to share the chicken piccata, which is their signature dish. It was plenty for both of us. They do know how to make a nice crispy chicken picatta with a delicious well prepared sauce. It was the best chicken piccata we've had anywhere.

Even though we aren't huge fans of coconut, we went with another Jane signature dish and ordered the Coconut Cake for dessert. It was served with a fantastic creme anglaise sauce. It was fabulous!

We will return to this restaurant the next time we find ourselves in Santa Barbara. Hopefully, it won't be long as we our anxious to try some of the other items on their imaginative menu.

Directions from 101Exit at W. Arrellaga St. Drive east on Arrellaga St. Turn right onto State Street. The restaurant will be on the right just beyond W. Sola Street.
