This river is located in the heart of the Russian River Valley AVA. In fact it serves as a source of water for many of the vineyards in the area. This wine region is known for its excellent Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and other fine wines. Come for wine tasting, but also plan to relax on the river.

There are a number of businesses that rent canoes or kayaks. They make it easy by providing a pick-up service. A shuttle will pick you and your rental up at a designated spot and drive you back to your car. All you have to do is have fun.

Wear your bathing suit and don't forget the sunscreen, snacks, and towel! Keep your eyes open for amazing animals along the river; including turtles, osprey, otters, ducks, herons, deer, fish, and eagles.
