    Pinot Grigio for Every Budget

    pinot grigio wines

You must try these Pinot Grigio wines. Pinot Grigio is light and crispy dry white wine with flavors of almond, lemon, and vanilla. Pinot Gris is another name for this same wine. These wines are intended to be drank soon after bottling; this is not a wine you want to age.

This wine has been increasing in popularity. If this isn't a wine you normally drink, pick up a few bottles and give it a try. There are many good options to choose from.

    Origin
Pinot Grigio originated in the Burgandy region of France during the Middle Ages, but is generally considered an Italian wine. The grapes do well in a cold climate, which is the reason Oregon is able to produce delicious Pinot Grigio. King Estate Winery in Oregon is the world's leading producer of this wine. You'll also find this wine being made in France, Italy, Germany, Australia, New Zealand, Ukraine, and California.

    Food and Wine Pairing
Pinot Grigio pairs will with seafood, salmon, and the lighter non-tomato pasta dishes. Do not serve with tomatoes, citrus fruits, or other highly acidic foods. This is a great wine just for sipping as well.

    Easy Chicken Pasta Recipe

A Delicious Garlic Chicken Pasta Recipe

Cheers2Wine is pleased to bring you an easy chicken pasta recipe. It's full of delicious flavors. You'll love this garlic chicken pasta recipe. We usually serve this dish with a fresh green salad and garlic bread for a wonderful meal.

Wine Pairing: We'd recommend a Pinot Grigio to pair with this dish. A great choice would be Tiefenbrunner 2007 Pinot Grigio. This dry, full bodied, Italian wine would blend nicely with the strong flavors of the garlic chicken pasta.

    Ingredients for this pasta dish:

    2 Tablespoons olive oil
4 boneless chicken breast halves, cut into 1-inch cubes
    1 large chopped onion
    4 garlic cloves, minced
    2 teaspoons fennel seeds
    2 carrots, shredded
1 cup dry white wine such as Pinot Grigio
1/4 cup finely chopped sun-dried tomatoes
12 ounces linguine, freshly cooked (or your favorite pasta)
    1/2 cup Parmesan cheese

    Instructions for this pasta dish:

    1. Add olive oil and chicken to a large skillet and saute over medium-high heat.
2.Add onion, garlic, carrot, and fennel seeds. Saute until onion is tender, adding chicken broth as needed to keep vegetables from sticking to pan
    3. Stir in sun-dried tomatoes and rest of broth.
    4. Continue sauteing for about 5 more minutes until carrots are tender.
    5. Add chicken mixture to cooked linguine and cheese.
    6. Top with freshly grated Parmesan Cheese
